The annual Go Green Challenge is the newest component to the program and is open to all high school students. The Go Green Challenge encourages high school students to work in groups to initiate a project that upcycles waste in their community into new products. Not only do high school students apply the knowledge they have learned in the classroom presentations to better their communities, but they also gain invaluable teamwork and communication skills through the process. Students are guided through the process with a Banner Bags Mentor and they can help answer any questions you may have and help elevate your project.
Students can then submit a video at the end of their project showcasing their achievements and having their friends and family share their video on social media. The 3 winning groups are given $150 that will go back to their classroom or club initiative. The Go Green Challenge registration is now underway.
If you would like more information or would like your class or youth group to participate in the Banner Bags Go Green Challenge, please contact our Banner Bags Go Green Challenge Manager, Janet Shum, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
